Lady Nada is the Chohan of the Sixth Ray — the Ray of Devotion, Idealism, and the desire to serve — and is one of the Ascended Lady Masters in the Summit Lighthouse tradition. She is also presented as the twin flame of the Master Jesus, which in the Ascended Master cosmology means the other half of the same spiritual being — the divine masculine and feminine aspects of a single soul completing each other's expression of divine love. As Chohan of the Sixth Ray she oversees the development of devotional service in humanity — the energy that moves people to sacrifice personal comfort for a larger cause, to commit fully to a principle or a person, to place love above self-interest.
The Sixth Ray is the ray of the Piscean Age — the age now transitioning into the Aquarian. It governs devotion, sacrifice, idealism, and the desire to serve a cause greater than oneself. In its highest expression it produces the mystic and the saint — the person who gives everything for love of God or humanity. In its distorted expression it produces fanaticism, martyrdom complex, and the willingness to harm others in service of an ideology. The Sixth Ray is being consciously withdrawn as the Aquarian Seventh Ray becomes predominant, which is why religious fanaticism is simultaneously intensifying and beginning to dissolve: the withdrawal of the energy that sustained it.
Lady Nada's particular association with justice within the Sixth Ray teaching reflects a specific understanding of devotion: genuine devotion is not passive submission but active service of right relationship. She is invoked in matters of legal dispute, in situations where justice has been denied, and in the healing of relationships — the restoration of right relationship between individuals or between individuals and communities.
True devotion is not the clinging of the fearful but the offering of the free. It is the love that gives without counting the cost, serves without thought of reward, and holds to truth even when truth costs everything. — Elizabeth Clare Prophet, Lords of the Seven Rays
Lady Nada is described in Summit Lighthouse teaching as having been a priestess of Atlantis in her final incarnation — one who served through the arts of devotional music and the maintenance of the sacred flame. She is now said to be the patron of attorneys and all who work within the legal system — not because law is merely technical but because at its best the law is a human attempt to maintain right relationship: to give each person what they are due, to restore what has been wrongly taken, to prevent the powerful from exploiting the powerless.
This connection between devotion and justice is theologically significant. The Sixth Ray quality — the willingness to give everything for love — is precisely what justice requires of its practitioners: complete commitment to the truth of each situation, regardless of personal advantage. The lawyer who truly serves justice rather than merely winning cases, the judge who rules by conscience rather than convenience, the advocate who gives voice to the voiceless — these are Sixth Ray practitioners in Lady Nada's domain.
